TANGERANG, – Dinas Pemuda, Olahraga, Budaya dan Pariwisata (Disporabudpar) Kabupaten Tangerang selenggarakan Kejuaraan Bola Sundul Piala Bupati Tangerang 2024 tingkat SMP dan SMA/SMK sederajat se-Kabupaten Tangerang di GOR Don Bosco Desa Matagara, Kecamatan Tigaraksa, Selasa (26/12/24).
Bola sundul merupakan jenis olahraga asal Kabupaten Tangerang yang menarik perhatian dan mulai digemari di Tanah Air. Olahraga ini menjadi kebanggaan tersendiri khususnya bagi warga Kabupaten Tangerang karena kali pertama diperkenalkan di daerah ini.
Dalam sambutan Staf Ahli Bupati Bidang Kemasyarakatan dan SDM, H. Achmad Kasori, mewakili Pj Bupati Tangerang, menyampaikan kejuaraan bola sundul bukan semata-mata kompetisi cabang olahraga namun juga memperkenalkan kembali olahraga tradisional asli Kabupaten Tangerang.
“Perlu ditingkatkan sinergitas antara pemerintah, sekolah dan masyarakat untuk menjadikan olahraga bola sundul tetap eksis dan berkembang,” katanya.
Selain itu, dia menegaskan olahraga ini tidak hanya mengandalkan kekuatan fisik, tetapi membutuhkan fokus, konsentrasi serta kerja masa. Kejuaraan Bola Sundul Piala Bupati Tangerang tahun 2024 tingkat Pelajar se-Kabupaten Tangerang ini sejalan dengan visi Kabupaten Tangerang untuk terus memajukan potensi generasi muda dan mendukung kegiatan positif yang mencerminkan semangat Tangerang Semakin Gemilang.
“Semoga kejuaraan ini sebagai ajang menggali potensi serta mempererat persahabatan,” ungkapnya.
Di kesempatan yang sama Kepala Bidang Olahraga pada Disporabudpar Alimarsan mengungkapkan kejuaraan bola sundul piala Bupati Tangerang tahun 2024 ini diikuti sebanyak 46 sekolah negeri dan swasta yang ada di Kabupaten Tangerang.
“13 sekolah tingkat SMP sederajat serta 32 tingkat SMA/SMK sederajat se Kabupaten Tangerang mengikuti kejuaraan kali ini,” ujarnya.
Ali mengungkapkan kejuaraan bola sundul ini akan rutin di perlombakan setiap tahunnya untuk menggemakan olahraga tradisional asli kabupaten Tangerang dan menjadikan kegiatan positif bagi pelajar.
Ia menambahkan, olahraga bola sundul ini akan di perlombakan juga di tingkat Nasional tahun 2025 di Nusa Tenggara Barat.
“Semoga upaya kita dalam mengenalkan bola sundul ini dapat di gemari masyarakat Indonesia pada umumnya,” tutup dia.
