Dorong Akselerasi Vaksinasi, PD GPII Kab. Tangerang Gelar Vaksin Massal Diikuti 1.000 Orang
Focustangerang.com, Kabupaten Tangerang | Pimpinan Daerah Gerakan Pemuda Islam Indonesia (GPII) Kabupaten Tangerang bekerja sama dengan Markas Besar Kepolisian Republik Indonesia (Mabes Polri) menggelar kegiatan vaksinasi COVID-19, pada Kamis (26/8/2021).
Bertempat di BLK Salesian Don Bosco, Desa Matagara, Kecamatan Tigaraksa, kegiatan vaksinasi dosis pertama tersebut diikuti oleh 1.000 peserta dengan sasaran masyarakat umum.
Turut hadir dalam kegiatan itu Ketua Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) Kabupaten Tangerang Soma Atmaja, Camat Tigaraksa Rahyuni, serta jajaran kepolisian dari Polres Kota Tangerang.
Dalam kunjungannya, Soma mengaku mendukung serta mengapresiasi upaya yang dilakukan oleh PD GPII Kabupaten Tangerang dalam melayani masyarakat melalui program vaksinasi COVID-19.

“Upaya yang dilakukan oleh teman-teman pemuda GPII ini sangat luar biasa. Nggak gampang untuk membuat sebuah organisasi lalu mengadakan kegiatan seperti ini. Karena nggak gampang juga nyari vaksinnya,” tutur Soma kepada wartawan Focustangerang.com.
Ia menerangkan, bahwa sampai saat ini program vaksinasi dosis lengkap di Kabupaten Tangerang sudah menyasar kepada 500 ribu lebih warga. Hingga akhir Desember 2021 Pemkab Tangerang menargetkan vaksinasi bisa mencapai hingga 2 juta dosis.
“Target kita (Pemkab Tangerang) hingga akhir Desember 2021 mencanangkan dua juta warga yang sudah tervaksin. Mudah-mudahan dengan itu herd immunity bisa segera terbentuk,” terangnya.

Ia berharap, upaya percepatan program vaksinasi yang dilakukan oleh PD GPII ini bisa ditiru oleh organisasi pemuda lainnya. Sehingga bisa meringankan beban pemerintah dalam penanganan wabah COVID-19.
“PMI siap mendukung apapun kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh teman-teman pemuda maupun mahasiswa. Termasuk hari ini oleh PD GPII,” tukasnya
Senada, Ketua PD GPII Kabupaten Tangerang Anhar menambahkan, bahwa tujuan diadakannya kegiatan vaksinasi tersebut adalah untuk membantu program pemerintah menekan angka kenaikan virus Corona.
“Kami merasa terpanggil. Kita tahu angka kenaikan COVID-19 ini sangat memprihatinkan. Dari segi ekonomi dampaknya sangat luar biasa. Mudah-mudahan dengan vaksinasi ini laju penyebaran COVID-19 bisa ditekan,” pungkasnya
