Bupati Tangerang Tandatangani MOU Program Sekolah SD dan SMP Swasta Gratis

TANGERANG,- Bupati Tangerang, Moch. Maesyal Rasyid secara resmi menandatangani nota kesepahaman bersama (MoU) program sekolah jenjang SD dan SMP swasta gratis dengan Satuan Pendidikan Swasta Penyelenggara Sekolah Gratis. Acara tersebut dilaksanakan di Gedung Serba Guna (GSG) Pusat Pemerintahan Kabupaten Tangerang (Puspemkab). Rabu, (2/7/25).
Bupati Tangerang menyampaikan bahwa momen ini merupakan hari yang bersejarah bagi pendidikan di Kabupaten Tangerang. Program sekolah swasta gratis ini merupakan langkah strategis pemerintah daerah dalam memfasilitasi dan memberikan akses pendidikan yang mudah dijangkau bagi seluruh anak-anak di wilayah Kab. Tangerang.
“Penandatanganan MoU ini menandai dimulainya program sekolah gratis secara bertahap pada tahun 2025. Tahun ini, sebanyak 51 SD dengan total sekitar 15.000 siswa dan 128 SMP dengan kurang lebih 33.000 siswa sudah resmi mendapatkan fasilitas sekolah gratis,” ungkap Bupati Maesyal Rasyid
Dia mengatakan bahwa pada tahun 2026 dan maksimal 2027, seluruh sekolah swasta jenjang SD dan SMP di Kabupaten Tangerang akan juga ikut digratiskan secara bertahap. Menurut dia, tujuan utama program ini adalah untuk memastikan tidak ada anak di Kabupaten Tangerang yang putus sekolah, meningkatkan rata-rata lama sekolah, serta mendukung upaya pemerintah dalam mencerdaskan bangsa.
“Dengan pendidikan yang merata, kita berharap SDM anak-anak kita semakin berkualitas dan siap berkontribusi membangun daerah dan bangsa sesuai Asta cita Presiden Prabowo,” imbuhnya.
Pihaknya juga menegaskan bahwa program sekolah swasta gratis ini merupakan wujud komitmen pemerintah untuk memberikan akses pendidikan yang merata, inklusif dan berkualitas bagi seluruh masyarakat Kabupaten Tangerang tanpa kecuali
“Program ini dirancang sepenuhnya untuk memberikan bantuan pendanaan pendidikan bagi para siswa yang sekolah di satuan pendidikan swasta yang telah bekerja sama dengan Pemerintah Kabupaten Tangerang, baik di jenjang SD maupun swasta,” tandasnya
Pada kesempatan yang sama, Direktur Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah Kementerian Pendidikan RI, Dr. H. Khamim sangat mengapresiasi inisiatif Kabupaten Tangerang sebagai pelopor program sekolah gratis untuk SD dan SMP swasta di Indonesia.
“Program ini tentu akan meningkatkan angka partisipasi kasar dan murni anak-anak usia sekolah, serta menjadi contoh bagi daerah lain di Indonesia. Dan sepengetahuan saya, seingat saya ini yang pertama di Indonesia ya Kabupaten Tangerang,” ujarnya.
