Buka Invitasi Olahraga Tradisional, Bupati Tangerang: Harus Eksis dan Dikembangkan

TANGERANG, – Bupati Tangerang Moch. Maesyal Rasyid secara resmi membuka invitasi olahraga tradisional tingkat SD/MI, SMP/MTS, SMA sederajat Tingkat Kabupaten Tangerang di Alun-alun Tigaraksa, Puspemkab Tangerang, Sabtu (21/6/25).
Pada kesempatan tersebut, Bupati Tangerang Moch. Maesyal Rasyid mengungkapkan pentingnya olahraga tradisional yang harus terus dilestarikan dan dikembangkan. Tugas dan tanggung jawab pelestarian ini adalah kewajiban semua pihak agar dapat terus dinikmati semua kalangan khususnya pelajar melalui event invitasi olahraga tradisional yang saat ini dilaksanakan.
“Di tengah munculnya olahraga baru dan modern, kami pemerintah daerah bersama KORMI berkomitmen untuk menjaga olahraga tradisional ini agar tetap eksis. KORMI juga harus membentuk di tingkat kecamatan untuk kebugaran masyarakat kabupaten Tangerang,” ungkap Bupati Tangerang Moch Maesyal Rasyid.
Sementara itu, Ketua Umum KORMI Kabupaten Tangerang, Dedi Sutardi, menyampaikan, Invitasi Olahraga Tradisional bertujuan untuk menggali potensi serta melestarikan budaya olahraga tradisional khususnya di Kabupaten Tangerang untuk menghindari kepunahan. Saat ini sebanyak 907 pelajar dari 34 sekolah se-Kabupaten Tangerang antusias mengikuti invitasi Olahraga Tradisional.
“Para peserta mempertandingkan 10 Induk Olahraga (Inorga) meliputi, Egrang, Hadang, Lari Balok, Terompah Panjang, Sumpitan, Ketapel, Dagongan, Bola Sundul, Gangsing Putar dan Gebug Bantal,” ungkapnya. (Diskominfo Kab.Tangerang)
