Focustangerang.com, Kabupaten Tangerang | Sampah menjadi permasalahan yang klasik di kota-kota besar, baik sampah rumah tangga, sampah industri maupun sampah sisa makanan di pasar tradisional.
Kelompok Budidaya Magot Putra Tangerang di Desa Jeungjing Kecamatan Cisoka mengelola sampah setiap hari sebanyak 7 ton hingga 10 ton. Sampah diambil dari pasar tradisional seperti Pasar Tigaraksa, Pasar Sentiong Balaraja, Pasar Cisoka dan Pasar Cikupa.
Sampah organik selain dapat menjadi pupuk, sampah dijadikan pakan magot yang akan menjadi nilai ekonomi yang mensuport sektor-sektor budidaya rumahan seperti pakan ternak, hingga pupuk yang menjadi bahan pertanian.
“Setiap hari, maggot tersebut menghabiskan 7 sampai 10 ton sampah dari Pasar Cikupa dan Pasar Tigaraksa,” ungkap Akbar Pengelola Maggot Putra Tangerang di Desa Jeungjing Kecamatan Cisoka saat Ekpose di BAPPEDA Kabupaten Tangerang. Rabu, (01/09/2021).
Proses mulai dari pengembangbiakan lalat, bertelur menjadi larva selanjutnya maggot berkembang biak dan diberi makanan sampah organik yang diperoleh dari pasar tradisional.
“Dalam satu pekan menghasilkan maggot sekitar 500-600 Kilogram yang siap dipasarkan ke wilayah Jabotabek,” tutur Akbar.
Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Moch. Maesyal Rasyid Sekretaris Daerah Kabupaten Tangerang mengatakan, budidaya maggot kolaborasi dengan penanganan sampah sangat bermanfaat untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat yang saat ini sektor perekonomian mengalami kontraksi.
“Pemkab Tangerang akan bekerjasama dengan kolompok budidaya maggot Putra Tangerang untuk menanggulangi sampah di masyarakat menjadi nilai tambah dan kelestarian lingkungan terjaga,” kata Sekda.
Nantinya progres di wilayah Kecamatan Jambe, lanjut Sekda, akan kita jadikan budidaya maggot dengan pengelolaan sampah. Akan dilakukan pemberdayaan, hingga menyerap tenaga kerja di lingkungan setempat.
“Rencananya, pengelolaan sampah sehari hingga 40 ton, agar meringankan beban TPA Jatiwaringin dan pemberdayaan ekonomi dilingkungan,” tutur Sekda.
